Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 5, 2026

Welcome to pseudonymize.io. By using our website and API, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of Service

pseudonymize.io provides a deterministic pseudonymization API designed to help developers protect PII while maintaining relational data integrity.

2. API Usage and Credits

  • Access to the API requires the purchase of credits via Stripe.
  • Credits are non-refundable once consumed by API requests.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm our infrastructure.

3. Data Processing Agreement

By transmitting data to our API, you understand that the pseudonymization occurs in memory. We act purely as a pass-through processor. You remain the data controller and are responsible for ensuring that your initial collection and transmission of data complies with applicable laws.

4. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. In no event shall pseudonymize.io be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the API.

5. Open Source

Our core pseudonymization engine is open-source. While the hosted platform is commercial, you are free to inspect our open-source codebase on GitHub to understand our methodologies.
